Solar Blaster's popular RoofBlaster vent system is now offered in a slant-back vent style for asphalt roofs on homes or sheds. The Solar SlantBlaster comes in two versions: the original with a 4.5W solar panel and 80mm/2900rpm/35.2cfm fan unit, or the new MEGA version which comes with a 5W solar panel and a 120mm/2600rpm/96cfm fan unit. Size: 20.3"x16"x6.5". Now available in two colors: black and weathered bronze.
Solar SlantBlaster™ roof vent fans help move that heated air out of your attic, even on overcast, cloudy days. As long as some sun rays are hitting the solar panel, your fan will be working to pull hot air and moisture out of your attic or shed.
This doesn't require a thermostat or on/off switch. Whenever the sun shines, it will boost the effectiveness of the slant-back "passive" vent and help removing the hot air from your attic or shed.
Applications include homes or sheds with shingled asphalt roofs that prefer to use the slant-back vent style.
Solar Tubes vs Traditional Skylights
Solar tubes, or tubular skylights, are quite innovative in their design and provide a very good source of daylighting in your shed. They maximize the amount of sunlight they collect, while filtering out the heat and glare that traditional skylights produce.

Quality of Light
Due to the design of the interior diffuser, the indirect light output is much more than you'd expect throughout the day. It is also a very natural light without color distortion. Doesn't fade your valuables.
Depending on the quality of the dome, the light can be discolored throwing a yellowish or grayish tone. Also, due to its design, the light's path changes with the sun and can be quite harsh at times during the day. May lead to discoloring items in its path over time.

Can be easily installed without requiring framing, drywalling, or repainting. They are installed in less than two hours. Maintenance-free design.
